WELCOME TO ALMA DIRECT PEDIATRIC CARE
I'm Dr. Sierra Wensman.
I am a board-certified pediatrician with over 10 years of experience. I am also a mom of five young children. Trust me, I know how crazy life can get, which is why I wanted to create a medical practice that works with busy families.
I grew up in a small town called Boulder City, Nevada. Growing up in a close-knit community shaped the way I think about relationships and care, and it is something I try to bring into my work with families every day.
After personally experiencing the triumphs and tribulations of breastfeeding, I became an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant to better support breastfeeding mothers in my practice.
Taking care of kids is my calling and greatest joy. I would love to partner with you as you raise healthy, happy children.
At Alma Direct Pediatric Care, we focus on building real relationships with families so that parents feel supported, children feel comfortable, and every family has a pediatrician who truly knows them.

When she is not at work, Dr. Wensman enjoys spending time with her family, usually keeping cool in the pool, and getting splat points at Orangetheory. She also has a passion for teaching. She frequently has residents and students rotate with her in clinic, and she teaches Sunday school at her church.
The Story behind
When I was in first grade, we had an assignment to draw what we wanted to be when we grew up. I drew myself as a mom. My mom asked why I wanted to be a mom, and I said, “Because I love babies!” My mom suggested that I become a pediatrician and take care of babies. So, I did both.
Babies and kids are what I am most passionate about. Seriously. It is why I became a pediatrician, why I have five kids of my own, and why in my “free” time I volunteer with kids at my church. There are hard days, to be sure, but being around kids brings me so much happiness and fulfillment.
I built Alma Direct Pediatric Care to get back to the core of medicine and the doctor-patient relationship, and to remove all the other distractions. I believe children and families deserve quality medical care from their physician who knows them well. I was frustrated by how much time was spent on charting and billing for insurance companies, and by how many people were needed to manage billing, coding, and tracking payments and reimbursements.
Alma Direct Pediatric Care allows me to focus on what matters most: caring for children and building meaningful relationships with the families I serve.
